Bilateral Anterior Column Fixation is a surgical technique used to stabilize the spine.

The procedure for Bilateral Anterior Column Fixation begins with the patient being given general anesthesia to put them to sleep during the surgery. Using imaging guidance, such as X-rays or CT scans, the surgeon inserts screws into the vertebral bodies on both sides of the spine. Finally, the surgical incision is closed with sutures or staples and a bandage may be applied to the incision site.
