YStomach carcinoma, also known as gastric cancer or stomach cancer, is a type of cancer that develops in the stomach lining. The exact causes are not fully understood, but factors such as Helicobacter pylori infection, a diet high in processed foods, smoking, excessive alcohol consumption, and a family history of stomach cancer can increase the risk. Radiation therapy uses high-energy rays to kill cancer cells, either alone or in combination with chemotherapy.
