Yashoda Hospitals conducted 2-day International conference and live workshop – ‘Advanced Interventional Cardiology’
Yashoda Hospitals hosted International conference and live workshop – “Advanced Interventional Cardiology” at Taj Krishna, Hyderabad on Nov 23, 2019 and Nov 24, 2019. This two-day course with live workshops featured the latest advances in Cardiology, continuing with the rich tradition of furthering academic excellence in Cardiology.
The first half of the program was intended for all clinicians involved in cardiac care including Physicians and Cardiologists. The second half was exclusively tailored to impart case based learning to upcoming young Interventional Cardiologists to familiarize them with the nuances of Interventional Cardiology in a variety of situations in the Cath lab.
The program was mentored by a host of distinguished national and international faculty with decades of experience in the field.
Dr. Hemalatha, Director of National Institute of Nutrition, Hyderabad graced the inaugural session as the chief guest. She along with Dr. G. Surender Rao, Managing Director, Yashoda Group of Hospitals, Dr. V. Rajasekhar, Interventional Cardiologist & Electrophysiologist, Yashoda Hospitals, Secunderabad and Dr. T. Sashikant, Consultant Interventional Cardiologist, Yashoda Hospitals, Secunderabad inaugurated the event.
Addressing the press conference, Dr. G. Surender Rao stated, “The 2000-bedded new hospital constructed at Hitech City will come up in 2 lakh square feet by the December 2020.” He said that emphasis is being laid on greenery and light. A whopping 1.5 acres space on the 9th floor is earmarked for greenery in the new hospital. Special facilities will be provided for patients and their attendants for comfortable stay during and post-surgical procedures. Also, he mentioned the launch of dedicated wing for heart and lung transplantation by the middle of the next year.
During the two-day conference, reputed and distinguished international and national faculty shared their knowledge and expertise. This training and teaching course imparted knowledge ranging from tackling common cardiac problems to latest and advanced procedures like TAVR, TMVR, Watchman device etc.
