What is Silodosin?

Silodosin is prescribed for men who suffer from an enlarged prostate, also called Benign Prostate Hyperplasia (BPH). There is no permanent cure for BPH, and the condition is managed long-term with medication such as Silodosin.

What are the uses of Silodosin?

    There are side effects known to occur with the use of Silodosin that include

    • Stuffy nose.

Many who take this drug over a long time do report orgasms but without semen ejaculation. Orgasms are preserved, but the expulsion of semen is significantly reduced.

    Most people who take Silodosin consistently report that they start to feel better after a month or more of taking the medication. Silodosin does not completely cure the condition of an enlarged prostate. However, this does differ from person to person. It is crucial to speak to your doctor if you don’t see a change in your symptoms after the first few weeks of taking the medication.

    The efficacy rate for both Silodosin and Tamsulosin is more or less the same. Tamsulosin is used as an alternative to Silodosin as it belongs to the same class of drugs. Treatment by both these drugs is said to be well tolerated.
