- Dyspepsia: Also known as indigestion, this condition is characterized by several symptoms causing severe pain in the upper abdomen. Symptoms include abdominal discomfort, nausea, vomiting, and bloating.
- Esophageal spasm: Abnormal spasms of the food pipe result in stomach pain and discomfort. The condition is known as a motility disorder.
