What is Colicaid?

Three different medications are combined to form Colicaid Drops. Simethicone is an antifoaming drug that disintegrates gas bubbles and makes it easier for the baby to pass them. Fennel oil and dill oil are herbal medications that assist stomach movements, increasing intestinal motility to push food through the digestive tract. Colicaid Drops are commonly used to treat colic discomfort, griping pain, gas in the stomach, and flatulence in newborns.

What are the uses of Colicaid?

It is mainly used to treat stomach issues, indigestion, and spasmodic episodes in babies or infants. The drug assists in the release of trapped gas while also reducing discomfort. Colicaid helps treat and prevent the following conditions:

  • Dyspepsia: Also known as indigestion, this condition is characterized by several symptoms causing severe pain in the upper abdomen. Symptoms include abdominal discomfort, nausea, vomiting, and bloating.
  • Esophageal spasm: Abnormal spasms of the food pipe result in stomach pain and discomfort. The condition is known as a motility disorder.
