Coronary Bypass Surgery
CORONARY BYPASS SURGERY- Procedure- causes-diagnostic test- Treatment
Coronary bypass surgery helps in unblocking arteries and improving blood flow among patients suffering from coronary artery disease, arising due to plaque build-up inside the arteries, leading to reduced blood flow and circulation.
Patients experience angina symptoms. The surgery involves taking a healthy blood vessel from another part of the body and using it to create detours around the blocked sections in your arteries, to restore normal flow to each artery. The rerouting of coronary arteries are known as “bypasses.” The most common bypasses are saphenous vein grafts, taken from the thigh or leg.
