    Did you know?

“In case you plan to have a child later. it is a must to undergo fertility evaluation, be sure that you have time to wait.
Else, you may want to preserve your eggs and sperms for future.”

Age of an individual is one other risk factor for infertility. With career and financial pressures lingering all the time, planning a family takes a backseat for some couples.

While many couples conceive in a year’s time, half of the couples who do not conceive in the first, do conceive in second year.

In some couples, certain health conditions may pose a challenge to conceive. Mostly, these conditions can be controlled with preconception care and lifestyle changes. However, in some cases, medical intervention is deemed essential. When you have tried your best to conceive for a year or more, your doctor may order fertility checks and treatments.

Male fertility care starts with semen analysis and goes further into the hormonal and chromosomal evaluations.

Similarly, female fertility care identifies problems related to hormones, uterus and fallopian tubes (hysterosalpingography), and pelvic floor that might affect fertility. Along with fertility treatments, women may undergo treatments for medical conditions that affect fertility such as tubal disease, uterine fibroids, PCOS, ovarian failure, and ovulatory disturbances.

    Infertility Treatments and
    Assisted Reproductive Technique

    Ovulation Induction

Ovulation Induction (OI) facilitates the ovaries to release ovum/egg by means of medication. Pelvic ultrasound scans might be necessary to monitor the development of eggs and track ovulation day.

    Intrauterine insemination

Intrauterine insemination (IUI), an artificial insemination technique, is a solution for unexplained infertility, cervical problems in the female, immunological factors, ejaculation disorders, endometriosis, and in certain cases of male fertility with decreased motility of sperm.

    In Vitro Fertilization

In Vitro Fertilization (IVF) is a process of fertilizing the female’s egg with the male’s sperm in a laboratory to create an embryo. Therefore, the baby thus born is called as test tube baby. The embryo is later transferred to the uterus of the female. After some time, she is tested for pregnancy. Either, donated sperm or donated egg or both may be used for IVF.

    Intracytoplasmic sperm injection

Intracytoplasmic sperm injection (ICSI) is a type of fertility treatment used to address severe cases of male-factor infertility. It involves the use of specialized micro-manipulation tools and equipment that allow embryologists to identify and remove the best sperm/s with a special needle. This is then injected into a donor egg and fertilized in laboratory. The resulting embryo/s are then introduced into uterus.

    Assisted LASER Hatching

Assisted LASER hatching (ALH) is a scientific technique used in IVF that enhances the embryo’s ability to implant inside the uterus. Pregnancy is achieved only when the embryo successfully hatches to the uterine wall. So, with the use of LASER thickness of the shell is reduced to facilitate embryonic cells to hatch out.

    Testicular Sperm Aspiration

Testicular Sperm Aspiration (TESA / Micro TESA) is a biopsy done to retrieve sperm from testicles using an extremely thin needle. It is recommended for men who have no sperm in the semen, problems with ejaculation or if there is an obstruction. We are the only center to perform Micro TESA in Telangana & AP

    Pre-implantation Genetic Diagnosis

Pre-implantation Genetic Diagnosis (PGD) is a procedure used prior to implantation to help identify genetic defects within embryos. The embryos from IVF are screened using PGD for genetic defects or diseases and aneuploidy (missing or additional numbers of chromosomes). Aneuploidy is the principal cause of miscarriage and implantation failure.

    Fertility Preservation

Fertility Preservation is recommended for couples who choose to delay pregnancy due to their careers or before a medical treatment (such as cancer treatment) or who experience certain autoimmune disorders or any reason that could have a negative impact on their eggs or sperm. Fertility preservation is the preservation of the eggs and/or sperm for use at a later date.
