What are the symptoms of Paget’s disease of bone?
Most people who suffer from this condition are asymptomatic. However, when symptoms do appear, they may present themselves as:
- Pain in the hip joint
- In the skull, bone growth may result in headaches and loss of hearing
- If the spine is affected, then pain and tingling sensation is common
- It may put excess pressure on the leg joints, which may cause osteoarthritis.
This condition may occur in only one to two areas of the body, or it may affect the whole body. Hence, the symptoms that appear will depend on the area of the body that is affected.
