Plantar fasciitis is the most common cause of pain in the bottom of the heel. It occurs when the strong band of tissue supporting the arch of the foot becomes inflamed.
The plantar fascia is meant to absorb the pressure that is exerted on the feet. But at times, we tend to put extreme pressure that damages this tissue band and the natural response to this rupture is inflammation and pain.
