Carpal Tunnel Syndrome Symptoms

The symptoms of this condition begin gradually and may include:

  • Numbness or tingling: Usually the thumb, index, middle, or ring fingers are affected, not the little finger. This sensation may move from the wrist up to the arm.
  • Burning or weakness may be experienced in the affected hand. 
  • Pain, shock-like sensations in the hand
  • Clumsiness in the hand leading to dropping things

Carpal Tunnel Syndrome Complication

An untreated condition of carpal tunnel syndrome may lead to certain complications such as:

  • AtrophyAs a result of the degeneration of cells or become vestigial.
  • Weakness of the muscles 
  • Lack of dexterity (agility)
