TMVR Valve-in-Valve procedure to correct valve degeneration and severe mitral regurgitation

A 71-year old male patient who had undergone mitral valve replacement (bioprosthetic valve) in 2005 came with valve degeneration and severe mitral regurgitation.

Diagnosis & Treatment

He was under high risk for second open-heart surgery, therefore, he underwent Transcatheter Mitral Valve Replacement (TMVR), which was performed the second time in both the states of Telangana and Andhra Pradesh.

The patient has been discharged in a stable condition and is doing well on the follow-up visits.
