1. Are CT scans helpful for diagnosing COVID-19?

RT-PCR is the recommended test for COVID-19 as a first line of diagnostic tool. A CT Scan cannot accurately distinguish between COVID-19 and other respiratory infections; although a CT Scan recommended by a doctor would help understand severity of lung disease after COVID-19 diagnosis by RT-PCR.

2. Which vaccine is used in China for COVID-19?

Sinopharm and Sinovac vaccines are widely used Covid-19 vaccines in China, apart from which CanSinoBIO is the new vaccine introduced by China. 

3. What will be if a person took COVID vaccination 2 doses in two days without interval?

Minimum interval between the vaccine doses is recommended to provide an adequate immune response against the disease. If vaccines are given against recommended interval, it can result in less than optimal immune response; however it is unlikely to have a negative effect on the immune system. 

4. What will happen if anyone is overdosed with Corona vaccine?

11. Covishield Vaccine Mechanism of Action?

Covishield is a viral vector vaccine made from a cold-causing adenovirus which contains the gene that encodes for the spike protein on the surface of the SARS-CoV-2 virus. When injected, the gene is transcribed, the vaccine instructs human cells to produce the SARS-CoV-2 spike protein. The presence of this protein triggers the body’s immune system to produce antibodies to fight against the spike protein, which then prepares the body to fight against SARS-CoV-2 if exposed.

12. Which Vaccine is better Covishield or Covaxin or Sputnik?

Covishield is based on the viral vector platform, requiring first and second doses administered with an interval of 8 weeks.
Covaxin is an inactivated vaccine, contains the dead virus, which prompts an immune response but doesn’t infect. Two doses given 28 days apart. The vaccine is similar to the Chinese vaccine developed by Sinovac (CoronaVac)
