The Asian Hospital Management Awards recognizes and honors hospitals in Asia that implement best hospital practices. The winners were chosen out of 363 entries representing 89 hospitals from 12 countries.

The Asian Hospital Management Awards are organized by Ministry of Health Vietnam in cooperation with Johns Hopkins Medicine International, Joint Commission International, the International Hospital Federation, the Asian Hospital Federation, Hong Kong Hospital Authority and a number of national associations and organizations across Asia.

‘Fight the Salt Monster!’ campaign is the first cohesive step by Yashoda Hospitals and Greater Hyderabad Municipal Corporation (GHMC) to create awareness on health problems associated with excessive consumption of salt.

To highlight the ill-effects of excess salt intake on health, Yashoda hospitals created a character called the ‘Salt Monster’, which depicts a 10-12 feet high salt laden scary monster to enlighten the community against high intake of salt. Various Salt Monsters were erected in most high-traffic junctions, islands and centre medians across the city. The idea is to make the general public understand that salt is a silent monster lurking everywhere and at everyone’s home.
