What is Biceps Tendon Injuries?
The biceps are located at the front of the upper arm. It consists of two tendons that attach it to the bones of the scapula of the shoulder and one tendon attaches it to the radius bone of the elbow. These tendons are tissues that connect the muscles to bones and facilitate the movement of limbs.
Injuries to the biceps tendons are caused by micro-tears in the tendon, also known as tendonitis. These injuries can be proximal tendonitis at the shoulder or distal tendonitis at the elbow.
