What is Gravol?
Gravol is the trade name for an antihistamine called dimenhydrinate which is a non-prescription drug used for the treatment and prevention of nausea and vomiting caused by motion sickness. It is also used for treatment of vertigo and symptoms of allergies such as runny nose, sneezing, rashes, itching, redness, irritation (skin or eye) and watery eyes. Gravol is administered for management of motion sickness, a condition characterised by specific symptoms such as dizziness, nausea, vomiting and uneasiness while travelling.
- Vertigo or vestibular disorders
Gravol is also prescribed for treatment of vertigo and certain vestibular disorders associated with symptoms such as headache, dizziness, nausea, vomiting, and visual and auditory disturbances.
