Why a traditional knee replacement surgery when you can choose MIKRS with near zero disadvantages?
The way joint replacement surgeries are performed is changing. Open surgeries are not the only option available anymore. With minimally invasive technologies, one can return to normal life a few days post-surgery. Minimally invasive knee replacement surgery (MIKRS) at Yashoda Hospitals, Hyderabad is a preferred method of knee replacement among many patients. In MIKRS, the surgical procedure is similar, but with smaller surgical incision (4 to 6 inches versus 8 to 10 inches) and damage to the tissue surrounding the knee. Therefore, MIKRS not only reduces the hospital stay, but also reduces the chances of complications, cost and time to total recovery. For example, TKR requires 3 to 4 days of whereas PKR requires only 2 to 3 days of hospital stay.
