Osgood-Schlatter Disease and it's Causes

What are the causes of Osgood-Schlatter Disease?

This condition is mostly caused while a child or an adult is involved in activities like running, jumping, playing sports such as soccer, volleyball, basketball, etc. This is because involvement in these activities results in pulling on the tendon which connects the kneecap to the shinbone. Over some time, this recurring stress on the knee starts causing pain and swelling that is commonly associated with Osgood-Schlatter Disease.
