Philosophy
The philosophy of the school of Nursing focuses on the formal education preparation, which is based on education principles. We recognize it as the foundation on which the practice of Nursing is built and further professional education depends. At the same time we believe that we have the responsibility towards the students and to the society to make provisions in the program for the continued development of the student as an individual, citizen and a nurse Faculty School of Nursing believes that education is a life long process and we strive to seek the overall development of the student both personally and professionally
Faculty of School believes that the staff from the institution will render high quality care and also cater to the health care needs that are locally Nationally and also Internationally. The Nurse from this Institution will be competent as a beside nurse, nurse educator and capable administrator
Aims
- To prepare the nurses with a sound educational programme in nursing to enable them to function as efficient members of the health team beginning with the competencies for first level positions in all kinds of health care settings
- To help nurses to develop an ability to co-operate and co-ordinate with members of the health team in the prevention of disease, promotion of health and rehabilitation of the sick
- To help Nurses in their personal and professional development, so that they are able to make the maximum contribution to the society as useful and productive individuals, citizens as well as efficient nurses
- To serve as a base for further professional education and specialization in nursing
- To prepare nurses to keep pace with latest professional and technological developments and use these for providing nursing care services
Objective
The nurse after completion of this course will be able to
- Demonstrate competency in providing health care to individual, sick or well, using nursing process
- Assess the nursing need of clients from birth to death
- Plan and carry out appropriate action to meet nursing needs
- Provide effective nursing care for maintaining best possible level of health aspects
- Promote self care in people under their care
- Apply problem solving techniques in nursing practice
- Evaluate effectiveness of nursing care
- Apply knowledge from the humanities, biological and behavioural sciences in functioning as a nurse
- Function effectively with members of the health team and community applying the knowledge of human relations and communication skills in her work
- Participate as member if the health team in delivery of curative preventive, promotive and rehabilitative health care services
- Mobilise community resources and their involvement in working with the communities
- Demonstrate use of ethical values in their personal and professional life
- Demonstrate interest in activities of personal and professional life
- Demonstrate interest in activities of professional organizations
- Recognize the need for continuing education for professional development
- Demonstrate basic skills in teaching patients and giving nursing care to them
- Demonstrate basic skills in administration and leadership while working with other members of health team and community
- Assist in research activities
Procedure For Admission
- Application forms for admission and prospectus are to be obtained by the candidate.
- Candidate should submit the application form duly filled in within the prescribed time with necessary documents:
- Attested copy of S.S.C. Certificate
- Attested copies of H.S.C. or Intermediate showing statement of marks obtained
- Attested copy of Bonafide Certificate ( 6thto 12th Class)
- Attested copy of Conduct Certificate
- Attested copy of T.C
- Income & Caste Certificate
- Attested copy of Migration
- Physical fitness certificate
- Copy of Aadhar card
- 4 copies of recent passport size photographs
Educational Qualifications for GNM course:
Minimum education eligibility criteria for admission to GNM:
- 10+2 with English and must have obtained a minimum of 40% at the qualifying examination and English individually from any recognized board. Candidates are also eligible from State Open School recognized by State Government and National Institute of Open School (NIOS) recognized by Central Government. However Science is preferable.
- 10+2 with English having 40% of marks in vocational ANM course from the school recognized by Indian Nursing Council
- 10+2 with English having 40% of marks in Vocational Stream-Health care Science from a recognized CBSE board/State/Centre
- Registered ANM with pass mark.
For foreign nationals
The entry qualification equivalency i.e., 12th standard will be obtained by Association of Indian Universities, New Delhi. Institution, State Nursing Council will be responsible to ensure that the qualification and eligibility will be equivalent to what has been prescribed as above
- Students shall be medically fit

The minimum age for admission will be 17years as on 31 December of that year. The Upper age limit is 35years
for ANM/LHV there is no age bar.
Duration of course: 3years
Selection Procedure:
Each application will be scrutinized by the selection committee. Merit will be the basis for preliminary selection. Provisionally selected candidates are called for an interview at their expenses. The date and place of the interview will be intimated to the candidates
